The design proposal for the Central University Campus at their 600 acre site at Mohindergarh in Haryana, was conceptualized on a grid inspired by the Navagraha Mandala, flowering around a central square with an ability to expand seamlessly as future needs demand. Each square in this grid comprises of a 30 acre mini university as a unit of the larger master plan. Two mutually perpendicular axial spines intersect at the central square and form the knowledge corridor flanked by academic and administrative buildings. The secondary spines traverse through the residential areas comprising of staff residences, hostels and amenities. This arrangement forms an axial amalgamation of all the academic and administrative activities even while segregating them from the residential zone.
