Proposed Sai Wisdom Village, Pune

‘A green seat of learning’ as visualized by tastefully discerning owner of its verdant farmhouse plot on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, Sai Wisdom Village was proposed as a multi-disciplinary college campus having a college, a school and residential and recreational facilities. Restricted by single 20’ wide entry point at the plot corner and a building height not exceeding ground +1 floor due to agricultural nature of site, this design places the school in the rear of the site and proceeds to design first the college blocks in the front, arranged around a common, central open ground and recreational facilities. The administration block maintains a visual dominance despite its placement at the far corner of the site when viewed across the central green. The modular blocks placed around the ground essay a rhythmic poetry in an international ambience of glass and concrete.
